Hello. My name is Tanya Clubb. I am married to John and he works alongside me as my assistant. We have two children, Tegan who was born in May 2003 and Callum (C.J) who was born in April 2004. We live in a child friendly 3 bedroom house in Goring with a good sized enclosed back garden. The children use the lounge for childminding and the kitchen for activities such as cooking. We have a playroom downstairs which has all of the childrens toys and this is where they spend most of their time as the dinig table is here and doubles up as a art/craft and activity table. The children do not go upstairs to play they use the bathroom facilities up there and the three bedrooms are used for the children to sleep in (if needed) with travel cots and baby monitors.

We have a Dog 'Nugget', two Cats 'Smirnoff' and 'Ice', two Turtles 'Splinter' and 'Lola', four Rabbits 'Cutie', 'Sonic' and two babies that are yet to be named and a tank of Marine Fish. All animals are regularly checked by the vets and are immunised accordingly.

Both inside and outside of our house are equipped with a variety of different toys for all ages and stages of development. We offer lots of activities for the children, such as, arts and crafts, gardening, playdough, cooking, painting, books, toddler groups and a variety of other outings i.e. local parks, beaches, farms, indoor play areas etc.

I am an Ofsted Registered Chilminder and I have been registered since February 2005. I have alot of previous experience in working with children before having my own and becoming a childminder. I have previously worked in a children's home for physically and mentally disabled children and adults, and also a playscheme for disabled children.

I take my responsibilities as a childminder very seriously and keep up to date with latest policies and procedures by attending regular courses. I have just completed my NVQ Level 3 in Childcare Learning and Development and I am currently studying for the  Foundation Degree in Early Childhood Studies with The Open University. I have a G.C.S.E in Child Development; I have passed the I.C.P, Unit 2 In Homebased Childcare, Basic Food Hygiene, Child Protection and First Aid courses.

John is also First Aid trainedand has taken part in the Child Protection course.

Your child will be cared for in a home from home environment and will recieve a lot of individual attention as well as enjoying the environment with other children. I believe that children learn through play and within positive relationships and so I strive to provide plenty of different play opportunities and have strong relationships with all the children. I understand the need for a strong relationship between myself and the parents and children and pride myself in the relationships that I have with the children in my care and their parents, both past and present.

We have had children in our care of all different nationalities and with different languages as first languages and in our experience we have helped children to learn English as a second language where they may not have the opportunities to learn English at home or within their families. We work closely with the parents in this instance and learn what is needed in order to communicate with the children and aid their development.

We are insured by NCMA and make sure that we comply with all of the requirements set out by them.

We have teamed up with another local Ofsted Registered Childminder (Little Stars Childminder) to be able to offer childcare for special occassions for example Weddings, Funerals or any other such event where childcare may be required.

The rates for this service will depend entirely on the amount of children present and the length of time that our service will be required. Weekends are possible however overnight care cannot be provided.
